There is a lot of knowledge about the physics behind our day-to-day life, and the internet gives us easy access to this information. But the words and numbers on the pages are still far away from an intuïtive interaction with these phenomena. The machines I build are personalized tools, meant to measure the non-sensory events I would like to explore. I use live generated data, which is otherwise very abstract, to build a new sensory experience. This gives you, the visitor, the opportunity to explore your surroundings and experience these phenomena for yourself. It is a way of interacting with nature past our given senses. This way I play with our perception of the natural world and our role within it.
